- I and Love and You by The Avett Brothers. AAAAAmazing song. I first heard it on One Tree Hill. I had heard of these guys before and had a previous album of theirs. But silly me hadn't gotten around to listening to it yet. Of course once I watched the show I HAD to check em out. And I haven't been able to turn them off yet. This song is particularly great for a nice fall/winter day :)
- Don't Upset the Rhythm by the Noisettes. This song is so fun. Another One Tree Hill find, which is also now featured on the Jamba Juice soundtrack (not sold). Its got a great beat and when you get to the bridge it takes on a whole new personality. This is one of those getting ready in the morning songs haha
- Creature Fear by Bon Iver. Bon Iver is indescribable. Their sound is so intoxicating. And as for this particular song...I dont even know what to say. My words wouldn't do it justice. To be honest im not even 100% sure what its about. But something about they tone just makes you feel it deep down inside. Which is not an abnormal occurrence when listening to Bon Iver.
- Whatever You Like by Anya Marina. I was a little caught off guard by this song. Because i actually kinda dug it. I heard it on Gossip Girl believe it or not and I was diggin the sound. Then i realized i recognized the lyrics. Duh! its a remake of Whatever you like by TI. haha well i must say its pretty darn cool. Im really enjoying all the remaking of hip hop goin on right now.
- The Only Exception by Paramore. Ok seriously, if you dont like Paramore, you are crazy. This song is beautiful. Hayley Williams has amazing vocals. And the rest of the band matches that talent. Im not even gonna go into more detail. Just listen to the song and let it hit you.

February 22nd - 28th
- How He Loves by Kim Walker- Wow what an amazing voice and spirit this woman has. This song is recorded live so you get some of that raw energy she brings forward. About 6 miutes and 30 seconds into the song she starts talking and just the words speaks are so profound and give me chills every time i hear them.
- I Wanna Dance With Somebody by Whitney Houston- Alright so I took it back a bit to some good ole Whitney...or as I used to call her Pipley haha But anyways this song is just a good time. It makes you wanna stop what your doing and dance. This is one of those classics that I just belt out in the car :p
- None But Jesus by Hillsong United- "There is no one else for me, none but Jesus. Crucified to set me free, now i live to bring him praise" Such powerful lyrics. I love this song because it is such a declaration of my faith and devotion to the one who died for me. They did an acoustic version of this song at The Shore recently and it was just so beautiful and moving.
- Seven Nation Army by The White Stripes- Ok so this song is kind of random in comparisson to the others i have listed but its one of my favorites. It pumps me up when im out on the water wakeboarding my little heart out :) I heard it on a sunny day recently and it made me wanna wakeboard sooooo bad! I cant wait till this rain goes away so i can get out on the river and do what i love so much.
- Anyone Else But You by the Moldy Peaches- Oh Juno what a great movie. This song is just so cute :) I dont really have an explanation of why its on this list except for i heard it on party shuffle one day this week haha I enjoy it thoroughly though and I hope you will too :)

February 15th-21st, 2009
Sorry its been a while :/ haha crazy busy.
- Consume Me Now by Worth Dying For: Oh wow this song is amazing. I first heard it at The Shore and it definitely caught my attention. The lyrics are just so powerful... "i need my life consumed by your fire." That mental picture of being consumed by God's fire just leaves me at a loss for words.
- Bring Me Flowers by Hope: This song is from step up 2 and i was trying so hard to find it because it wasn't on the soundtrack and i finally did! haha its such a pretty song with a smooth flow. This girl's voice is beautiful.
- Hometown Glory by Adele: Well if i could i would put the whole album on here because Adele is SOOOOO talented. Her whole album is just amazing. But I chose this song because it talks about being united and not taking s**t from the government. I feel that it is very relevant to what is going on in the world right now and we as a country need to stand united. It's a declaration. Well in my opinion anyways haha
- Lesson Learned by Alicia Keys ft. John Mayer: This is such a beautiful collaboration between two of my favorite artists. Recently John was on the Ellen Degenerous show and he talked about how years ago he was up against ALicia in the Grammy's and he actually won. He said that when they recorded Lesson Learned he broke the Grammy in half and gave her the top half because he felt she deserved to win. I thought that was really neat. I really hope to hear the two of them working together in the future.
- Lucky by Jason Mraz ft. Colbie Caillat: Another amazinbg collaboration. Jason has such a smooth voice as does Colbie. This song is just so cute. "im lucky im in love with my best friend." awww so adorable :) Again i hope to hear these two together in the future.

January 11th-17th, 2009 (#1)
Since this is my first blog im going to give you a little idea of what each week's post will include. So if you know me...you know i love music. It is my passion. So i have decided to share my love of music with you. Each week i plan to post a blog with some songs or artists that i have been in to for that week. I will also give a little description of why that song or artist is standing out to me at the time. Feel free to leave comments telling me how you feel about those songs, songs you think i might be interested, or anything really haha Enjoy!
- Your Love is Strong by Jon Foreman. I just recently discovered this song. I love how the lyrics compile phrases from other songs and bible verses. This song has really been my anthem this week. I cant get enough of it haha
- Dear You by Josh Auer. Ok so i also just discovered this song while watching One Tree Hill. I love that show and i get most of my music from their playlists. Auer's vocals are phenomenal. I find myself grinning when i here these lyrics. They totally are what every girl wants to hear from their guy haha Its no wonder they make me smile too :p
- Happy Day by Fee. This song is so energetic and makes me smile from ear to ear haha Recently my friend got engaged at the college group i attend (the shore every thursday at 7:30pm) and this song was played right before her bf popped the question. Good memories. And it just makes you wanna jump around and dance.
- I will Go by The Desperation Band. Oh man this song really puts me to the test. At the shore this week we talked about the lyrics of this song and if we would actually do what the song is saying and not just sing it to sing it. Lately I have been feeling that i need to fully devote myself and not just be a "luke warm" christian as robi quick would describe it. So this song song has been my declaration for the week. "Here am I, I will give all that is mine."
- You never let go by Matt Redman. This song is my absolute favorite right now. It is inspired and modeled after my favorite verse which is psalm 23:4 and actually a phrase from this song and verse is going to be on my tattoo in Hebrew. The lyrics are so powerful and I cant help but feel completely safe when i hear this song or read that verse. "I will fear no evil, for my God is with me." That fact alone brings me peace.
